Mark Hunter was not an elegant skater but he was a fierce competitor and a prototype of the modern NHL power forward. He was fearless on the ice and possessed an above average shot. During his 3 seasons in St. Louis he enjoyed his best statistical years in the NHL amassing just under a point per game and just over .5 goals per game.
Unfortunately his time in St. Louis was cut short by a deal that would send him and the troubled Doug Gimour to Calgary.
